"The iconic Milford Sound and Mitre peak as never before seen!
A long drive from an early start shooting Mt Cook and Hooker Valley in the morning (4:30am start) we finished the day at Milford sound.
Milford gets on average 6800mm of rain a year making it one of the wettest places in the world. A clear night is a rare thing here.
Luckily this night was clear, and spectacular!
The Milky way hovering just over the 1700 meter peaks just before midnight , the tide rushing in during my 25min exposures for this panoramic ( 25000px wide!) this was my last set of frames for the evening.
I dont believe there is another Milford image quite like this."
